From my last post about the Vitamin, I have mentioned that the serum is one of the most effective forms of skincare product. Serum is the skincare product that is in a concentrated form of certain function which plays the biggest role in skincare part, from my point of view. The reason why I am saying this is because it has high density nourish-ment and directly effect on our skin layer. Many people have asked me what is the difference between serum and the essence, and what I have researched, they are pretty much the same and the serum tends to show little bit more higher density. So, there is no need to use them both since they play fairly similar roles.

   Starting from concern that almost every woman has different skin type and issue, cosmetic companies have come up with the various types of serums. Many serums in the market has different functions, such as starting from hydration, brightening, anti-aging, trouble caring and so on. Those products can treat your concern about skincare. 

   Honestly, I used to think that serums are the skincare products for relatively older generation and thought toner and emulsion (during the winter time, moisture cream is added to that) is enough for my skin since I really do not like to over layer my skin, covering up with the various products. But when tried the serum, it felt very similar to the skin treatment that I used to receive from aesthetic spa. Unlike the other skin care products, you can feel your skin response in earliest time sequence.

   When you take a look at the texture of the serum, generally, they are in a form of in between toner and emulsion. I guess it could be said that runny water texture. So especially for the spring or summer, when you want the lighter skin care than the heavy cream or sleeping pack, but don’t want to miss out the functional aspect of skincare step, serum is perfect for that. It is because your skin can absorbs the product right away since it has watery texture and it does not feel like another layer on your skin.
