THE 3rd. WISH’S TREND AWARD “What is the BEST BB Cream?” _ Results report
The results are finally out!This blind test was about the most popular product in Korean cosmetics, the BB Cream. 14 beauty bloggers from Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines participated in our project. You can find the results of each of the bloggers at their respective blogs.
The BB creams in this test were ones favored longest and most by Koreans, along with ones that have new functions and characteristics. Let’s unveil the 5 samples.
A is Misha’s representative product, AKA the red BB. Overall, it received decent points. There are quite a few people in Korea who are obsessed with the red BB, who refuses to use other BB creams. Another merit is that you can select one of 3 colors according to your skin tone, similar to that of foundations.
B is Dr. Jart’s silver BB, which was awarded with the highest points, except for the texture criterion. Its covering ability and make up sustainability, particularly was rewarded with the highest points. This product also has a large segment obsessed with this.
C is Ciracle’s BB cream. Due to it’s thin and light sensation, it gives off a natural feeling. This would be the optimal item when you want a natural makeup, due to its light covering ability. These products are quite popular in Korea to make your face look as if it doesn’t have makeup. It also gives off a subtle glow due to its fine texture.
D is Caolion’s natural organic BB cream. There are several characteristics of this product, one of which is the fact that it can be applied after dermatologic treatment. It also contains EGF, a skin revitalization ingredient and also does NOT contain mineral oils, which prevent troubles from popping up. A tip would be to utilize a sponge to spread it out, IF you feel that the texture is too thick. Caolion’s BB had contrasting opinions depending on the reviewer’s skin tone. Because it poses a lighter, brighter tone, it matches well with users with whiter skin.
E is Clinique’s age defense BB cream. Overall, the product has a darker color with a pink base, which gives off a natural feeling. This is known to have antioxidant properties and has gained decent points.
Here are the final results of our bloggers. The first product is the one with the highest points, and the image on the left is the one that the bloggers personally preferred disregarding points.
This time in particular, we asked our bloggers to select the BEST and the WORST. We came across surprising results, where the best was the worst for some, and vice-versa. We presume that this was because the BB creams were diverse in type and function. Moreover, we believe the individual skin tones played a large factor in the results. Since BB creams are one of those items used almost everyday, we recommend that you try them out yourself on your skin, rather than relying on other’s recommendations.
