What is CC cream and why does it matter if you are using BB cream already?
In this world of globalization where you can find The Face Shop or Etude House right at your heartland mall, it’s no surprise Singaporeans are given a lot of options and choices when it comes to Korean cosmetics.
CC cream, also known as Color Control cream, is an improved and refined of BB cream created and developed in Korea. CC cream is also the newest miracle beauty product to hit the cosmetics store currently.
So does the CC cream really live up to its name? ^^
Today, am going to review on the Elishacoy Always Nuddy CC cream (SPF30 PA++). There are no Elishacoy offline stores in Singapore at the moment but it’s a huge and popular brand in South Korea and Japan.
Before we get started, I would like to emphasize that I’m having normal to combination skin type. And I’m living in the hot sunny island, Singapore! I think weather plays a big part in choosing our skincare and cosmetics too. Another point I want to add is my job doesn’t require me to be in the outdoors all day so the only time I’m exposed to the Sun is mainly when I’m travelling to work and to home.
Elishacoy Always Nuddy CC cream promises 10 in 1 benefits, mainly: whitening, anti-wrinkle, UV protection, hydration, correcting skin texture, correcting skin tone, covering imperfection, long lasting, excellent application and making skin instantly look refreshed.
1st impression & Application:
When I first applied the cream onto my hand, I’m quite surprised that it is not the usual BB color but a shade lighter and in fact very much closer to white color.
But upon patting the cream into my whole hand area, the color blends into my skin instantly! This is because the micro-encapsulated color spheres in the CC cream are activated by the warmth of my skin to change and blend into skin naturally.
The feel is absolutely non sticky and my hand feels both smoother and moisturized.
After my daily skincare routine, I applied a pea size (a small amount will do) of Elishacoy Nuddy CC cream as a base before putting on my usual BB cream. With tapping motion, it blends onto my face effortlessly.
The CC cream is very light in nature so I find that it serves well as a base or primer. As CC cream emphasizes on hydration and moisture, the coverage is not as high as BB cream. But I really like the fact how my face looks so matte and fresh after applying the Elishacoy CC cream as a base. J
Till another review, have a great week ahead!
